How to Import Emails Using Excel – Without Birthdays

In Excel:

  1. Put your names and emails into a three column Excel sheet – first name, last name, email.  (If you don’t have a last name, just leave this column blank.)
  2. Select Save As – Other Formats – CSV (Comma delimited) (*csv)  (Be sure to remember what directory you saved your file in.)   If you are creating a CSV file using Excel on a Mac make sure you use the option Save As CSV (Windows), otherwise the format will not be correctly recognized by CSV Import.


 

Go Online to http://www.ewordofmouth.com

  1. Select “Client Login”
  2. Enter User Name and Password
  3. Select “Email Entry / Import / Unsubscribe”
  4. Select “General Welcome” or “New Stylist Announcement” from the drop down menu
  5. Click CSV File Import
  6. Select the browse button to select your file
  7. Select your CSV file
  8. Hit SUBMIT

How to Import Emails Using Excel – With Birthdates

In Excel:

  1. Put your names and emails into a four column Excel sheet – first name, last name, email, birthday.  (If you don’t have a last name or birthday, just leave these columns blank.)
  2. Insert the following labels in the very first row above your data:  firstname, lastname, email, birthday
  3. Select Save As – Other Formats – CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)   (Be sure to remember what directory you saved your file in.)   If you are creating a CSV file using Excel on a Mac make sure you use the option Save As CSV (Windows), otherwise the format will not be correctly recognized by CSV Import.

  2. Enter User Name and Password

  4. Select “General Welcome” or “New Stylist Announcement” from the drop down menu

  7. Select your CSV file
  8. Hit SUBMIT

Entering New Emails Manually

Go Online to http://www.ewordofmouth.com

  1. Select “Client Login”
  2. Enter User Name and Password
  3. Select “Email Entry / Import / Unsubscribe”
  4. Select “General Welcome” or “New Stylist Announcement” from the drop down menu
  5. Click “Manual Email Entry”
  6. Enter your customer’s information
  7. Click APPLY or SUBMIT

Note:  Only first name and email are mandatory.

Updating Customer Information

Go Online to http://www.ewordofmouth.com

  1. Select “Client Login”
  2. Enter User Name and Password
  3. Select “Email Entry / Import / Unsubscribe”
  4. Select “General Welcome” or “New Stylist Announcement” from the drop down menu
  5. Click “Manual Email Entry”
  6. Enter your customer’s email
  7. Hit LOOKUP
  8. Add or update any information
  9. Click APPLY or SUBMIT

Note:  Updating the “last visit” field will ensure your customers receive a reminder 120 days after the date you enter.

Unsubscribing a Customer from Your List

Go Online to http://www.ewordofmouth.com

  1. Select “Client Login”
  2. Enter User Name and Password
  3. Select “Email Entry / Import / Unsubscribe”
  4. Select “General Welcome” or “New Stylist Announcement” from the drop down menu
  5. Click “Manual Email Entry”
  6. Enter your customer’s email.
  7. Hit LOOKUP
  8. Tick the “Unsubscribe” box at the bottom of the form
  9. Click APPLY or SUBMIT

Redeeming Coupons

Go Online to http://www.ewordofmouth.com

  1. Select “Client Login”
  2. Enter User Name and Password
  3. Select “Promotion Certificate Validation/Redemption”
  4. Enter your 10 digit coupon code
  5. Hit SUBMIT

Reporting

Go Online to http://www.ewordofmouth.com

  1. Select “Client Login”
  2. Enter User Name and Password
  3. Select “Reports”
  4. Enter a desired date range
  5. Select your promotion. – Referral, Birthday, Welcome, or Reminder

        Report Descriptions:

  • Campaign Stats  –  Summary showing how many emails were sent, opens, clicks, and coupons redeemed by promotion.
  • Detail Campaign Analysis  -  Similar information down the person level.
  • Certificate Matching/Control  -  Registry of coupons redeemed.
  • Referral Detail  –  List of all of your referrals.
  • Unsubs   –  Shows all bounces and opt-outs for a specific date range.
  • Activity Summary   -  High level summary of how many new customers and referrals were added to your list in a specific date range.
